Big News!

 

The Del Mar Highlands Town Center is pleased to unveil exciting plans
for the upcoming renovation of its 20-year-old center, located at the corner
Del Mar Heights Road and El Camino Real. The re-imagined Del Mar
Highlands Town Center will offer guests an improved, intimate and relaxing
atmosphere in which to shop, dine, see a movie, or simply enjoy a cup of
coffee in the heart of Carmel Valley.

Improved Traffic Flow and Additional Parking
Among the many strategies we will be implementing to improve traffic flow include working to increase customer usage of four of the center's six entrances and exits, expanding the pedestrian walkways between buildings, and adding 100 parking stalls throughout the shopping center lot.

Greater Variety of Restaurants
In response to our guests' requests for new restaurants offering a wider variety of dining options, the Del Mar Highlands Town Center leasing team is working hard to bring the Best of San Diego to Carmel Valley. We expect to be able to announce these new restaurants later this summer and in the fall as the leases get signed.

New and Enhanced Gathering Spaces and Pedestrian Access
The re-imagined Del Mar Highlands Town Center will provide family-oriented amenities including intimate gathering spaces that create a sense of neighborhood. The community amphitheater will be renovated to include a few small boutique stores, covered escalators, a new staircase, and a customer elevator installed in a signature clock tower connecting the lower level to the upper level patio. The enhanced gathering space will feature a variety of restaurants, an outdoor fireplace, fountain, and plenty of comfortable seating.

Construction will begin late summer of 2010 and the renovation is anticipated to be complete by summer 2011 with a grand re-opening celebration to occur shortly thereafter.

The Del Mar Highlands Town Center has a long history in the Carmel Valley community and will continue to a be a valuable neighbor throughout and beyond the renovation.

Put on your dancing shoes, grab your special someone and join the fun in the Amphitheater on Saturday evenings in July. Enjoy good food from one of our many eateries and restaurants during the concerts.
